Our game today was against W/A and even though we dominated the majority of the game we were not able to finish and win the game. They had a few break aways and they scored on them. We had lots of chances.

Cross Country Update
The Sun Sentinal announced today the All County XC selections. Despite not having a 1st or 2nd team winner, the Guys team epitomized the word TEAM. The finished as a top 5 team in the entire County, with no individual accolades other than 6 of them being noted as Honorable mention. May not have had the best 1 or 2, though we had the best 7!!!!

As for the game today, we played American Heritage and once again the girls played very well. The score was HEAT – 5 / American Heritage – 0

It was a job well done by the entire team. The defense was solid; Ally P., Mikaela H., Allie W., and Jordan at stopper. Mid-fielders Courtney, Bridgette, Mikela D., Brianna, Sofie, Sabrina, and forwards Tianna, Becca, and Raevin (includes all subs).

Girl’s Soccer Update
The middle school girls soccer team played W/A on Friday . We only had 12 players (which meant only 1 sub for the entire game). Several starters were missing and we had our work cut out for us but the team rose to the challenge. We had several opportunities to score but did not take advantage of it. We shot the ball to the goalie SEVERAL times when we should have placed it on the open corners. I was hoping we would score in the 1st half because I knew the girls would be tired in the 2nd half but it was not until the 2nd half that we were able to score. Both goals were scored by Raevin D. with one assisted by Becca C. Our defenders (Allie Winston, Mikaela H., and Courtney) were able to use the “off-sides” trap over and over again which was good for us. Our goalie, Leanne F., played another amazing game. Our mid-fielders (Bridgett, Mikela D., Sofie, and Alana) ran ALOT! Forwards Becca & Raevin (and sometimes Sofie) constantly had the pressure on W/A who were very happy when the final whistle was blown as we seemed to be coming on strong the further along the game went! Great job!

Girl’s Soccer Update
Today we played University School. They had JV players as well as travel/club players who were fast, skilled, and overall awesome. I did not tell the girls that until AFTER the game of course. We played very well against them and our keeper, Leanne F. was a beast in the goal today. She must have made at least 8 incredible saves. Awesome job girls!!!

Girl’s Soccer Update
The girls middle school team played American Heritage today . They played awesome. Our defense was rock solid with Brianna S., Mikaela H., Ally P., and Jordan at stopper. Everyone should be so proud of the way they played. We were “on” today which was huge! Our passes, our throw ins, our communication, everything. Awesome job girls!
